The accuracy of genomic predictions for bacterial cold water disease resistance remains higher than the pedigree-based model one generation after model training in a commercial rainbow trout breeding population

چکیده
Bacterial cold water disease (BCWD) causes significant mortality and economic losses in salmonid aquaculture. Previously, we reported high genomic prediction accuracy of 0.72 for BCWD resistance rainbow trout using the 57 K Axiom SNP array. Due to cost phenotyping genotyping breeding programs, it is paramount know if acceptable can be obtained subsequent generation without retraining model. In current study, found that model was reduced from 0.65 0.61 0.56 0.53 a lower density array 10 SNPs panel 49 QTL-linked SNPs, respectively. Although markedly than with retraining, better pedigree-based (PBLUP) (0.48) substantially higher PBLUP (0.22). We conclude selection provides traditional even when ‘skipping’ one retraining. The weighted single-step GBLUP (wssGBLUP) Bayesian multiple regression BayesB (ssBMR-BayesB) had (ssGBLUP), which consistent oligogenic inheritance this population. Imputation genotypes back did not improve prediction, likely due linkage disequilibrium aquaculture populations architecture resistance.

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
the use of appropriate madm model for ranking the vendors of mci equipments using fuzzy approach
abstract nowadays, the science of decision making has been paid to more attention due to the complexity of the problems of suppliers selection. as known, one of the efficient tools in economic and human resources development is the extension of communication networks in developing countries. so, the proper selection of suppliers of tc equipments is of concern very much. in this study, a ...

A family-based selection program was initiated at the National Center for Cool and Cold Water Aquaculture in 2005 to improve resistance to bacterial cold water disease (BCWD) in rainbow trout. The objective of this study was to estimate response to 2 generations of selection. A total of 14,841 juvenile fish (BW = 3.1 g; SD = 1.1 g) from 230 full-sib families and 3 randomly mated control lines w...
متن کاملEvaluation of Genome-Enabled Selection for Bacterial Cold Water Disease Resistance Using Progeny Performance Data in Rainbow Trout: Insights on Genotyping Methods and Genomic Prediction Models
Bacterial cold water disease (BCWD) causes significant economic losses in salmonid aquaculture, and traditional family-based breeding programs aimed at improving BCWD resistance have been limited to exploiting only between-family variation. We used genomic selection (GS) models to predict genomic breeding values (GEBVs) for BCWD resistance in 10 families from the first generation of the NCCCWA ...
